What is Mobile Level 3?

Mobile Level 3 is a two-factor authentication that allows you to use your smartphone to confirm your login, transactions and other important actions.

This feature is integrated in the Swissquote app, making it faster and more secure than the usual forms of authentication via email or SMS.

What is ML3
How to activate it?

Mobile Level 3 can only be activated on a single device.

  1. Download and install the Swissquote app on your smartphone
  2. Activate Mobile Level 3

If you have not yet activated Mobile Level 3 on your account:

    • Open the app and enter your credentials. You will receive an email to authorise the new device–confirm it before continuing. If Mobile Level 3 is not yet activated on your account and the biometric feature enabled on the Swissquote app, it will automatically be activated when onboarding a new device.
    • You can also activate it manually from the Multi-factor authentication menu in the Swissquote app:
Log in to your mobile app and tap the profile icon in the top-right corner. There, you’ll find the Mobile Level 3 menu to enable this feature.
  3. You’re all set!
You will now receive notifications on your phone to approve important actions.

What can you do with it?

Mobile Level 3 allows convenient and secure authentication for the following actions:

  • Login to your eBanking and eTrading platforms
  • Login to your Swissquote app
  • Trading operations
  • Payments & transfers
  • Making changes to your profile and settings
Are there other alternatives?

To ensure the security of your account, Swissquote always requires two-factor authentication to verify your login and transactions.

We highly recommend Mobile Level 3 as your authentication method, as it is the fastest and most secure option.

If you don’t activate Mobile Level 3, you will instead receive a one-time password via SMS or email to confirm your login and transactions. Please ensure your phone number is up-to-date in your account Profile.
