You must hold a Swissquote trading account with cash available in EUR and/or USD, as currently cryptocurrencies cannot be traded directly against CHF.

You can trade cryptocurrencies from our mobile apps, our Crypto Assets platform (accessible from your eBanking or trading platform) and/or from the trading Workspace.

Most digital assets are quoted on USD and/or EUR and you can trade them as long as you have a positive buying power. Bear in mind that if you traded but you don’t have USD (or EUR) on your account, we may charge you debt interest on the lent USD (or EUR) amount.

Yes, custody fees apply to crypto-assets and are levied quarterly. Our fees contribute to guaranteeing the safety of our clients’ digital assets and the security of our custody solutions, in order to deliver state-of-the-art systems that include multi-signature wallets, offline storage of cryptographic materials and strict access-control policies. 3. Click on the Address whitelist and add the address of the external wallet(s) to which you want to send cryptocurrency.
4. From the Crypto transfers tab, select Withdraw.

Deposits from an exchange

You can transfer cryptocurrency to your Swissquote account from any of the following whitelisted exchanges:

• Bitpanda
• Bitstamp
• Coinbase
• Gemini
• Kraken
• Revolut

Deposits from any other exchanges will be rejected and may incur additional transaction fees.

Please note that for legal reasons, deposits from exchanges are subject to additional confirmation steps: you will be required to provide screenshots of the transaction.

Withdrawals to an exchange

Withdrawals from your Swissquote wallet to a cryptocurrency exchange are currently not supported. Attempts to transfer cryptocurrency to an exchange could result in the loss of the transferred funds.

Your crypto trading fees depend on:

• Your Tier – Based on the total trading volume across all your portfolios over the last 30 days. The more you trade, the better your tier and fees.
• Your Order Type – Maker orders (limit orders that add liquidity) pay Maker fees. Taker orders (market orders that remove liquidity) pay Taker fees.

Your volume is recalculated after each trade. When you reach a new tier, the trade that triggered the tier change is charged at the previous tier. New tier pricing applies from the next trade onward.

Your tier is determined by a rolling 30-day window. As older trades fall out of the window, your total volume decreases. If this causes you to drop below a tier threshold, your tier is downgraded automatically.

All accounts are automatically moved from the static to the dynamic pricing model.

• If you haven’t traded crypto in the last 30 days, you will start at the Standard tier (1% maker / 1% taker).
• Once you place a trade, you will see your real-time tier, 30-day volume, and progress toward the next tier.

You can view your tier details in two places:

• Crypto Hub (Web) > Under the Crypto assets management section.
• Trade Mask (Web & Mobile) > Click the small "info" icon when trading to open the pricing pop-up. (Note: the mobile version has a simplified view.)

The pop-up give you all the information you need prepare for your next trades.

On top, you'll find the tier and the fees you'll pay if you do a maker or taker trade. Below, you have access to the current pricing table. It gives you the minimum volume to reach/keep to move/stay in a specific tier based on the trailing volume made in the last 30 days.

Then, on the second part, you can find your current 30 days trailing volume and what is missing to reach the next level with the summed up volume per day in the graph. On the last part, you can find the prediction when you'll drop to a less advantageous tier if you don't trade anymore.

On SQX, you can place Limit, Market, Stop, and Stop Limit orders.

In a trading pair, the base currency is listed first and the term currency is listed second. Example: In BTC/USD, BTC is the base and USD is the term.

The minimum amount depends on the instrument, but in general it is 0.05 in the term currency. The term currency is the second currency in a trading pair (for example, in BTC/USD the term currency is USD.)
